Hey there - I hope you've had a blast these holidays! It's been a slow month here as well - thankfully the new version being so polished meant there weren't any big fires to put out - so we've been able to do a lot maintenance. But we do have a few cool things we've cooked this month, that we want to bring to your attention. Let's get into it!

Maintenance

It's been a good month in terms of maintenance - we've been squashing all incoming issues for v7 and closing some old issues as well. In fact, we're in the middle of a longer process of closing old issues that are no longer relevant - so don't be surprised if you'll get a Github notification from that issue you opened 4 years ago 👀

Here's a summary of the changes in our major packages:

• auto-translate - 2 updates
• editable-columns - 1 update

Major Packages

Just to remind you, we've recently launched 2 paid packages:

• auto-translate - helps you easily make your app multi-language by auto-translating Eloquent entries using DeepL, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude etc; currently only available to EVERYTHING buyers;
• dataform-modal - helps put a form in a modal (hence its name) - 🚨 currently still at 50% discount, for a few more days;

Minor Features

Thanks to Karan, we've launched a few minor features that I'm sure you'll love:

Auto-create new tags in select2_from_array

When you're using the select2_from_array field for things like "tags" or "categories", you might want your user to just type new items, and for them to get created. That's exactly what the tagging attribute will do - just set it to true.

Customize messages in Quick Bulk Action buttons

In quick action buttons for bulk actions, instead of bulk => true you can now pass the exact messages the user will see, for those quick actions. See more in the PR.

New AI Chat Provider

Docs AI is now using CrawlChat, so please expect slightly different UI and results. We're monitoring and improving this as we speak - so please let us know what you think of the new AI. We've made this change because CrawlChat allows us to make the Docs AI available to both PAID and FREE users.

What's next?

We'll spend the next month on maintenance, trying to get as close as possible to "inbox zero". But that's a pipe dream, we all know that. Then we'll be working on a few more features that we have coming in v7 but haven't launched yet. If you have a favorite and want that prioritized - let us know in the comments below!
