It's been a long month of celebration and bug fixing here at Backpack HQ. Let's get into it:

Backpack v7 - Now In Public Beta 🎉

We've spent the entire month of July on implementing feedback on v7, and polishing a lot of aspects that were clear to us... but unclear to you. Big thank you to everyone who's helped test v7 🙏

Now more than ever... we're ready for you to give it a look! If you use & like Backpack - we're interested in your opinion. Please see what Backpack v7 brings and join our public beta program.

What's next?

Over the next few weeks, we'll accept a few more suggestions and feedback, then we will do a soft launch of Backpack v7. We won't make a big fuss - but it'll be launched and public, for existing projects to upgrade and for new projects to use it out of the box. So if you want to influence Backpack v7 before it's out... this is the last chance to try it and give feedback.

New Pricing

Along with the Backpack v7-beta launch... we've had a big promo (up to 40% discount). That's all finished now... and as promised our prices have gone up a little bit. When costs rise, we need to raise our prices, to keep the same level of service and quality as before. See our updated pricing page for the new prices. In short:

• Backpack/PRO Single-Project is now 89 EUR instead of 69 EUR;
• Backpack/PRO Multi-Project is now 499 EUR instead of 399 EUR;
• Everything is now 699 EUR instead of 599 EUR;
• Everything + Premium Support is now 999 EUR;

If you haven't gotten a discount, no fear. Before your license expires, you'll get the opportunity to get a 20% discount in exchange for a backlink. That should cover most if not all of the price bump. Thank you for understanding.

If you're new to Backpack, don't wait for a discount - as mentioned, we will not do a huge promo when we launch Backpack v7 final, but instead we will do a soft launch.

One feedback we've gotten from some long-term customers is that they'd like a subscription, so they don't have to purchase every year. If you want that too - please let us know in the comments below!
