Starting today, we're using a bunch of Github Probots, to help with issue & PR management. Here's a list of all the the features we now have, from our friendly backpack robot (I called him Justin Case... get it? just. in. case... pff, never mind).

  • auto-reply to a user’s first issue, to double-check it's a bug and not a support request;
  • auto-reply to a user’s first PR, to let him know it might take a while; explain release cycle;
  • auto-reply to when a user’s first PR has been merged, to let him know how to contribute more to the community (gitter, stackoverflow);
  • automatically mark issues as stale when no activity for 60 days;
  • automatically close stale ssues when no activity for 14 more days;
  • auto-reply to ask for more information when issue/PR title/body is empty or default;
  • ~~automatically create issues out of @todo notes in code~~ (removed);
  • ability to snooze an issue/PR by commenting /remind me in 10 days;
  • auto-notify people you’re out of office after commenting /ooo for 7 days;
  • polls in github issues;
  • auto-add “triage” label to new issues;
  • ~~auto-reply to issues tagged Ask-It-On-Stack-Overflow~ with a message directing the OP to the SO page, and close the issue~~ (removed);
  • track dependencies for an issue or PR with /dep on #21 and #32;

In theory, this should help us, maintainers, spend less time doing issue & PR maintenance, and more time writing code and exchanging funny GIFs :-)

Hope it works. Cheers!
