We're pleased to announce that we have added four new options to purchase Backpack, to fix some common worries and misconceptions when buying a Backpack license.

If you're developing a single project using Backpack:

• we've added a "First Project Bundle", which makes it easy to buy both a Backpack v4 single-project license and our DevTools addon; we think this is the best entry point for anybody starting with Backpack in 2021 - it'll give you the best developer experience we have;
• we've added a "Long-Term Project Bundle", which adds access to our DevTools addon for 24 months, Backpack v5/v6 access when they're out (any major versions we release in the next 24 months) plus 10 hours of expert email support; this is a very good option for enterprise clients, who have expressed worries that their teams may need some guidance when developing big applications using Backpack, "just in case";

If you're developing multiple projects using Backpack:

• we've added an "Everything Bundle", that not only includes a license for using Backpack v4 on unlimited websites, but also access to all major versions we release in the next 12 months (Backpack v5 for sure), all the closed-source addons we have right now, all the closed-source addons we release in the next 12 months... everything! This is a great option for those worried about purchasing an Unlimited license right now, in late 2021, when you know a new version of Backpack is due in the not-too-distant future; just purchase "everything" and for 12 months there's no more money you can give us - you'll have for-ever access to everything we have right now and everything we release in the next 12 months;
• we've also added an "Enterprise" license, to make it more apparent that we can offer more than software - we can help you with support, maintenance, development etc. if your team needs it, our experts can join your team and help out with some of the things you might not want to do yourself;

These come in addition to the Single-Project and Unlimited licenses we already had for Backpack v4 - no changes there. Just like our previous licenses, these new licenses and bundles are one-time payments - no subscriptions.

We know these extra options will add another minute to figuring out "What license do I need?", but they're here because they've been requested. We hope they'll give more people peace of mind when buying Backpack, and make it clear we're in this for the long run. Plus, they really make Backpack an "excellent buy" wherever we are in the release cycle, we probably should have done this sooner, thanks everyone for nagging us to do it 🙏.
